Roucher River, Great Slave Lake, Northwest territories, Canada.
Taken by me 2007.
I go here every august.
Backstory: The Roucher clan ( Inuit tribal nation) was displaced and ordered to leave their home area on the river in the mid 80’s due to a newly passed law that forced the families to enroll all children in schools, thus making their settlement illegal. Most of the people now live in Fort Resolution.
